What is it?
QuelObjet.com is the premiere online source for hard-to-find,
beautifully made French linens, gourmet food, home décor and more. Still true
to its original mission, Quel Objet
has a knack for finding quality items that are highly regarded in France but
not yet widely known to a U.S. audience. The founder’s treks to the Pyrénées and over Gallic back roads to charming villages, a
working 19th century mill, and extraordinary artists and designers,
consistently yield unique treasures.
While some products have been with the company since its
beginnings – for example, many a newlywed couple has been delighted to receive Quel Objet colorful, quirky tea
towels – the site continues to treat its devotees with interesting new finds,
all bearing that ineffable French style. The products, almost all of which are

special tradition in France. As with so many other mundane items, the ingenious
French have raised kitchen towels to an art form. Woven on antique jacquard
looms, look as if they should be framed — and often are. Each group celebrates
an aspect of French life, geography, or history in glorious color. Each tea
towel measures 21"x 29", is made of 100% cotton, and is completely
